Beatrice M. (Pace) Ward 84, of Vandergrift, died Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born August 5, 1928 in Vandergrift, she is the daughter of the late Donato and Maria Pace and had lived in the area all of her life. She had been employed by Reidbord Brothers in Apollo as a seamstress prior to retiring in 1990 after 40 years of employment, she was also a cook at the Sons of Italy in Vandergrift.  A member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Vandergrift where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed playing cards, socializing and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include three daughters Eugenia Ward of Detroit, Michigan, Sharon Stewart (Gerald Houser) of Vandergrift and Kathleen (Charlie) Reynolds of Apollo. A son Daniel  (Janet) Ward of Vandergrift. Four grandchildren Jacob, Joshua and Shelby Reynolds and Vaegis Ward. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Eugene C. Ward in 1996, a sister Annie Kanis. Family and friends will be received Monday from 1-4 & 6-9 in the Dunmire-Kerr & Rowe Funeral Home, Inc.
